Why Work with Nexus?
Nexus Marketing is the best Boise web design company for growing businesses.
Web Design Portfolio
Deliberate Directions offers business coaching, mastermind groups, speaking services, and interactive workshops to help leaders build strong, thriving businesses. Nexus Marketing replaced Deliberate Directions’s Wix website with a clean and fast WordPress website. We also laid out a new content marketing and SEO strategy. After one year, Deliberate Directions now ranks at the top of local search results and ranks for hundreds of organic keywords.
Blac-Rac provides firearm racks to 70,000 law enforcement and military personnel. Nexus Marketing designed an e-commerce website to help Blac-Rac reach the consumer market. We built the site from scratch using WordPress, Astra Pro, Elementor Pro, WooCommerce, Yoast, and PayPal. Since launching, the website has generated $4,000/month in new revenue for Blac-Rac.
Sindro provides management software for boutique fitness studios. Nexus Marketing produced a creative, minimalist website that reflects the energetic, simplified ethos of the Sindro brand. To help Sindro gain new subscribers, Nexus Marketing also produced a 12-page lead magnet to help fitness studios successfully maintain their memberships through digital experiences during the coronavirus pandemic.
Brandes Wellness is a fitness training company based in New York City. Nexus Marketing created a lively website with videos, company information, client reviews, and the ability for visitors to start a monthly subscription online.
Coyote Creek is a master planned community in Vail, Arizona. The overall purpose of this website is to attract qualified leas to Backus Realty. The website called for a catalogue of sales listings for custom homes and custom lots, along with standard features including contact forms, a newsletter subscription form, and additional web pages detailing area information, community details, and team members.
WordPress Landing Pages and Sales Funnels
Landing pages are the focal point of your lead generation funnel. They’re the destination where you should drive traffic from your Google Ads, YouTube Ads, Facebook Ads, and more.
Top Dollar is a lead generation service. Nexus Marketing created two landing pages. The first page collects leads from people looking to sell their jewelry. The second page collects contact information for jewelers seeking sellers. We created the website using WordPress, Astra, and Elementor.
Injury Claims Network is a lead generation service based out of Maryland. They wanted to try a landing page with a “call only” call-to-action. They’re currently running Google Ads directed at people searching for personal injury attorneys.
Ultimate Dumpsters offers dumpster rentals throughout the United States. They requested a landing page that they could direct Google Ads traffic to, and that would encourage users to call their sales reps directly.
Nexus Marketing wrote, designed, and developed this landing page to help 1-800 Water Damage generate new leads for their business.
We used testimonial excerpts and insurance provider logos to built trust with readers.
Unlike a regular webpage, a sales page doesn’t need to be optimized for search engines, since you usually will use advertisements to drive traffic to the page.
A landing page has a simple mission: to convert the visitor into a buyer or get them to the next stage of your sales process. For example, we created this landing page to help Colorado Classic Exteriors sign up visitors for a project evaluation.
A landing page should include:
- a headline and supporting headline
- a sales proposition
- benefits of your offer
- images of your product
- a “closing argument”
- a call-to-action (CTA)
We created this landing page to promote a new business advisory program from Deliberate Directions. Can you spot each essential element in our landing page?
Dale Dixon is a public speaker and author based in Meridian, Idaho. Nexus Marketing designed a professional website and trained Dale on how to edit it in Squarespace. The website includes a pop-up with an invitation to join Dale’s email list, a video series, blog posts, and pages for all of Dale’s services.
Mining Claims LLC requested a website to professionally present their Idaho mining claims to prospective buyers. Nexus recommended the Squarespace package since it would allow us to create a professional design quickly at minimal cost, and it would enable Mining Claims to easily maintain their website if they choose after our training.
Gym Stars is a gymnastics studio based in Boise, Idaho. Nexus Marketing launched a maintenance-free Squarespace website and trained the studio’s owner on how to make updates in Squarespace’s user-friendly editing interface. Nexus integrated JackRabbit studio management software and took original photos. The homepage’s simple call-to-action “Get a Free Class” consistently generates new customers every month.
In addition to WordPress and Squarespace, we also offer customized web development.
- Front-end technology: React.JS, Angular, Vue.js
- Back-end technology: Django/Python, PHP/Laravel, Node/Express, Ruby on Rails
It takes less than 8 hours to manage your entire website project.

Frequently Asked Questions
Wix and Weebly websites often suffer from uneven formatting, ununified design, and poor SEO. For us, it’s easier to start fresh and rebuild your website on Squarespace or WordPress.
With either Squarespace or our WordPress / Astra / Elementor technology stack, you’ll get the same drag-and-drop flexibility that you might have enjoyed on Wix or Weebly.
WordPress is the preferred CMS (content management system) of more than 30% of all websites. (Shopify, Squarespace and Wix each account for less than 1%.)
You can achieve more advanced functionality, unique page layouts, and custom user experiences with WordPress than you can with a software-as-a-service website platform. A thriving community of web developers are constantly publishing new tools and plugins to make WordPress faster and more powerful.
We build WordPress websites using Elementor Pro, the leading WordPress page builder. Elementor allows you to drag-and-drop page elements in a convenient and intuitive user interface. You’ll receive a complimentary license to Elementor Pro as part of your website project.
The highest rated WordPress theme is Astra Pro. Astra’s biggest advantages are its speed, flexibility, and intuitive menus.
You’ll receive a license to Astra Pro free of charge with the purchase of your WordPress website.
Depending on the functionality your website requires, we typically we use the following plugins:
- Astra Pro
- Duplicate Post
- Easy Pricing Tables
- Elementor Pro
- Jet Elements
- Page Scroll to ID
- Piotnet Addons for Elementor Pro
- Really Simple SSL
- Yoast SEO
Most of these plugins have tens of thousands or even millions of users. They generally have 5-star reviews and they’re updated frequently to provide maximum security for your website.
With plugins, simpler is better. Too many plugins can slow down your website’s speed. This hurts your user experience and page rankings. We may install other plugins if your website requires additional functionality, but we don’t recommend installing more than you need.
We’ll strategize with you to come up with a custom plan. For now, below is an outline of some common types of webpages that may be useful for your business.
- Home: Introduce your services, what your business is about, and what your customers have to say about you.
- About: Tell your audience your story and your vision. Share bios of your team members.
- Service 1: Describe benefits and features. Show off testimonials and use a clear call-to-action.
- Service 2: Highlight a second service or product at your company. A unique webpage for each service is best for SEO so that you can specifically target a new keyword on each page.
- Service 3: Highlight a third service or product at your company.
- Lead Magnet: An opt-in lead magnet incentivizes your website visitors to share their name and email with you. Your lead magnet includes both a promotional page and the actual content that the user unlocks.
- Blog: Share information and resources that would be of interest to your customers. This is a great way to build authority with customers and Google.
- Contact: Give your audience an easy place to schedule a call or email you. Tell journalists and influencers the kind of questions you can answer for them.
- Email List: Preview what content people will receive if they join your email list. Conclude with an invitation to subscribe.
- Case Study: Showcase how you helped a client achieve an important goal.
If you have a logo and it isn’t high resolution or against a transparent background, we can convert your existing logo to the format we need at no additional cost.
If you don’t have a logo, we can make a temporary one for your website. Since we are not designing a final logo as part of the project scope of your website, you may need to hire a professional designer to create a final logo that you’re pleased with.
Rather than outsource and add unnecessary overhead cost to your bill, we suggest that you work directly with a designer to develop your final logo. There are two good routes you can go.
- The Logo Company specializes in logos. Their $249 branding package gives you a variety of logo options, free revisions, plus a business card design.
- Various designers on Fiverr offer price points from $10 to $1,000. These can be hit-and-miss, but sometimes you can get a great logo design for just $30. Fiverr takes a 30% commission on designers’ earnings, so consider adding a generous tip if a Fiverr designer does a great job for you.
Quality photos will greatly enhance your final website. Here are a few tips for taking great shots:
- Dress professionally and have a coworker or friend take waist-up photos in portrait mode at your place of work. (Shooting with a mobile phone is fine!)
- For natural soft lighting, try shooting outside under shade. An overcast day will also create pleasing soft light.
- Avoid standing directly in front of a wall. Look for opportunities to shoot against an interesting background.
- Have your friend email you the photos at “Actual Size.” Download your favorite images and upload them to a Google Drive or Dropbox folder to share with us for your website.
After your second round of revisions and final payment, we assign the copyright of all text and original designs created as part of this project to you.
Nexus can host and maintain your website and provide security for a $25 monthly fee or a $250 annual fee. Hosting through Nexus means fast site speed thanks to a global CDN (content delivery network) of servers positioned around the world.
We don’t believe in locking clients into a mandatory hosting plan. After your project is complete, we’ll send you a backup of your website. If you decide to host your site elsewhere, we can request a website transfer to your new host.
You can certainly purchase cheaper website hosting. However, we don’t recommend shared hosting plans (like the $5 or $10 per month plans offered by GoDaddy, HostGator and BlueHost) due to slow server speeds. Many shared servers are sold to too many buyers, resulting in slow site speed.
Your website should load in less than 3 seconds for you to maintain good standing with Google. We believe our hosting solution should meet this requirement.
You can drive traffic to your website with physical marketing, advertising, and content marketing.
The tactics that work best for you will depend on your products, customers, and competitive landscape, as well as your team’s skills and passions. We can guide you through a process that will help you determine the best opportunities to focus on during your complimentary SEO strategy session.
Most business experts recommend investing 5-15% of your monthly revenue into ongoing marketing. Your exact budget will depend on whether your goal is to maintain or accelerate your sales. Regardless of the budget you choose, your website investment likely represents 1-3 months of your budget. Given the central role your website plays in your company’s growth, this is a fairly insignificant cost.
If you’re like most of our customers, then the purpose of your website is to attract new business. Many people have never visited your company in person. For them, your brand is your online presence. If you want to attract new customers, then it’s imperative to make a great impression online.
Your website also helps determine how well you rank in local organic search results as well as Google Maps. So if you want more people to discover you, call you, or get directions to your business, it’s to your advantage to build a great website and grow it with a steady content marketing strategy.
When we take on your project, we immediately begin spending time to communicate with you and deliver results for you. Your deposit allows us to dedicate time and resources to your project.
Nexus builds websites as sales communication tools. Your website should be your top salesperson at your company. Our highest priority is therefore to ensure your site is well written, simply designed, and laser focused on both selling your services and bringing you subscribers with whom you can nurture new customer relationships.
